Melasma Peel
For the treatment of uneven pigmentation, deep pigmentation and melasma. Dr. Day’s Skin Rejuvenating Melasma Peel is a Hydroquinone/Retinoid peel used for the treatment of hyperpigmentation on the skin. It is a superficial peel designed to improve the texture and appearance of hyperpigmented skin. The Skin Rejuvenating Melasma Peel is applied by Dr. Day and her associates in the office; it is removed by the patient at home 4-6 hours later. Patients then begin to follow an at-home regimen for 7 days in order to prolong the effect of the peel.
What to expect in the week following the Skin Rejuvenating Melasma Peel:
• Approximately 48 hours after application of the Skin Rejuvenating Melasma Peel, the skin will begin to peel. This peeling lasts 2-5 days.
• Patients will receive Anti-Redness Foaming Cleanser, Anti-Redness Soothing Crème, Sensitive Skin Sunscreen and Peel Crème to use in the days following the peel.
• Patients can expect stimulation of collagen production, improvement of skin tone and texture, and diminishment of fine lines and pigmentation.
• Results vary, but patients will see a significant improvement in the appearance of pigmented areas. Dark spots will lighten and skin texture and tone will improve. Some patients may not notice actual peeling, please note that you are still receiving the complete benefits of the Skin Rejuvenating Melasma Peel.
• Proper skin evaluation by Dr. Day and her associates prior to the Skin Rejuvenating Melasma peel is important and will help predict the outcome of your peel.
