Mini Peel
For skin brightening and rejuvenation
Dr. Day’s Mini Melasma Skin Rejuvenating Peel is a Hydroquinone and Retinol peel used for skin rejuvenation and treatment of excess pigmentation. It is a series of peels designed to improve the texture and appearance of skin. The Mini Melasma Skin Rejuvenating Peel is applied by Dr. Day or her associates in the office; it is removed by the patient at home 2 hours later. Patients then follow an at-home regimen for 7 days in order to prolong the effects of the peel.
The Mini Melasma Skin Rejuvenating Peel should be completed every 3 weeks, for a series of 3 peels. This program has shown to produce optimal results in most patients. Dr. Day and her associates will meet with you before starting the peel, in order to determine the right program for you.
What to expect following the Mini Melasma Skin Rejuvenating Peel:
• There may be minimal redness and peeling in the 24 hours following the peel. There is no true “downtime,” and patients generally return to work the following morning.
• Patients will receive Anti-Redness Foaming Cleanser, Anti-Redness Soothing Crème, Sensitive Skin Sunscreen and Peel Crème to use in the days following the peel.
• Patients can expect stimulation of collagen production, improvement of skin tone and texture, and diminishment of fine lines and pigmentation.
• Results vary, but patients will see a significant improvement in the appearance of pigmented areas. Dark spots will lighten and skin texture and tone will improve.
• Proper skin evaluation by Dr. Day and her associates prior to the Mini Melasma Skin Rejuvenating peel is important and will help predict the outcome of your peel.
